Lake Fayette is one of the lakes that pretty much guarantees a great event and once again, it didn’t disappoint. The lake always fishes very well this time of year, especially with the weather being as cool as it’s been this spring. Recently, the warmer water has the fish all riled up making many anglers believe the fish they’re fighting are far larger than they actually are! Even with the trickery, anglers boasted nice stringers while prefishing and saw several anglers catching huge quantities of fish the day before and the day of the tournament.
Based on these kinds of reports, you can guess how great the event went for the KATS anglers who amassed some awesome limits. With an impressive 102” total stringer first place was Tyler Howell followed by Guillermo Gonzalez in second with 97.5”. Mr. Steve Garcia took 3rd place with 97.25” and Cody Prather secured fourth with 96.5”. Mark Nordstrom placed fifth with 95.5”. Big bass went to Joeseph Andseron with a 22.5” toad!
In the social division we had Mrs. Ana Jacobson take first place with an impressive 89.5” total! In second place was Bryan Jones with 87.75” followed closely by Blake Ashmore in third with 87.25”. The 100% charity raffle YETI Tundra 65 went to a very excited Rich Newbank.
Thanks again to everyone who came out and all of our sponsors for making this an amazing event! We look forward to seeing everyone on Lake Wood in a couple of weeks!
